The Aluminium + Carbon Paddleshifter assembly for Porsche 996s with Tiptronic gearbox is a replacement kit for the original steering wheel buttons, which must be fitted when installing a goblet steering wheel on Porsche 996s with automatic transmission.
Our Porsche 996 Tiptronic steering wheel gearbox is completely constructed from billet machined aluminium on CNC machines. Even the smallest components are made of aluminum. Everything has been designed from the beginning to satisfy the aesthetic and mechanical sensations, with attention to lightness and ergonomics. In the half-moon paddles, the + and – symbols are carved into the aluminum, and contain a double groove to lighten them even more and to improve grip on the fingers. They are mounted with 2 screws on the respective rockers, in which 2 slots have been carved that have the dual function of lightening even more and allowing the adjustment of the distance of the blades from the center. This is to precisely adapt to the shape and length of your fingers. The paddles can be screwed on either side of the rockers, to adjust the distance to the steering wheel and fit your hands and driving preferences even better. The steering wheel gearbox is supplied pre-assembled and already with the wiring that interfaces with the original connector coming from the car.
