      Description

The steering wheel spacer is a kit that improves the driving position, giving a surprising effect on driving pleasure.

Our steering wheel spacer brings the OEM steering wheel 2″ (5 cm) closer to the driver, allowing to move the seat backwards furthermore. This leads to more room for the legs and better modulation on pedals while holding the steering wheel naturally, without overstretched arms.

Until now, to bring closer to the driver the steering wheel of a vehicle that does not have depth adjustment from factory, you could only remove the OEM steering wheel and replace it with an aftermarket one, and its specific version of steering wheel hub: 2 parts to buy at a total cost of over 300€ if brand new and quality.

Until the early 1990s, this was a good solution, but since steering wheels have airbags and steering wheel controls, installing an aftermarket steering wheel implies to cancel these accessories: un unacceptable compromise.

With the Spacershop steering wheel spacer, this is no longer necessary: you can bring the car’s OEM steering wheel closer and keep the airbag and steering wheel controls active.

How to install a steering wheel spacer

The steering wheel spacer has to be installed between the steering wheel and the steering column, this is a pretty easy operation:

      1. remove the steering wheel
      2. insert the spacer on the steering column shaft
      3. put the steering wheel on the spacer’s shaft (which replicates the steering column)
