It represents the updated version of the collapsible hub: it is like a goblet steering wheel hub, but on which you can install the standard steering wheel of the car, with its airbag and steering wheel controls. The assembly of the spacer is simple and reversible, in case you want to disassemble from the car everything goes back to the way it was before. The instructions describe the installation process on a Mazda Mx-5 NB, because the spacer for Subaru is the same for the Mazda.
