Here we list a couple of video about our steering wheel spacer.
During last 13 years we, our customers, and youtubers made any sort of video about our product.
Fitment tutorial, test drives… while videos made by others make us proud, what we like most are the first video listed, made recently to test the safety, strenght and reliability of our steering wheel spacer after years.
Airbag test 1 – PASSED
Impact test hitting a stopped car, low speed
We installed our steering wheel spacer on 2 cars, and drove one at about 30 km/h against the other, idling as when you are at trafic light.
The airbag system worked on both cars, because deployed on the stopped car, simulating being hitted by someone else; and did not deploy in the driven car, because impact speed was too low.
Airbag systems are designed to work if a minimum impact force is reached, and this test was made at low speed.
Load test – PASSED!
Whole car lifted from its steering wheel
How strong a steering spacer is? Furthermore, compared with the OEM steering wheel? We lifted a whole car hooking it up from the spacer to see it.

Long term test: 12 YEARS OLD steering wheel spacer
Let’s see how it looks after 12 years running on a car
We could meet one of the first buyers of our steering wheel spacer. The earlier version made for the Renault Clio RS mk3.
Car was originally stock, used as a daily and on track days. When the owner decided to install the Megane turbo engine, went to the dyno shop, where we casually meet him.
We could see an early version of our spacer, with narrower bolts and rubber boot external cover (!?). Still there since 12 years. We pulled it out from the car and see how it looks after 12 years of hard use.
The mod you didn’t know you need
Best definition for Spacershop steering wheel spacer
This guy, a few years ago, made this video in which easily resume this concept: the steering wheel spacer is a car mod you may not feel the need for, until you try it and never go back. It becomes addicting since you start using it, without collateral issues!

The Evo. 7, 8, 9… road, snow, Time Attack… wherever you find it, it’s a myth, faster than any other and born to be driven hard. But a detail was missing, until we reached it.
