Steering wheel spacer for BMW 1 Series F20 and F21

For BMW 1 Series F20 and F21, 3 and 5 doors.

The steering wheel spacer is a kit that improves the driving position.

The driving position is important: an experienced driver immediately senses when a car hasperfect ergonomics and when it lacks something. There is the same difference that passes between a pair of comfortable, well-made shoes and others of poor quality.

In addition, even if the standard adjustments are many and satisfy most riders , they may not cover 100% all the physical variabilities of people. Some people are very tall, or some have long legs and short arms, and all of this is reflected in the feeling of comfort and control of the car when sitting behind the wheel. It can also become a compelling need.

The spacer was designed on a 2016 M135i purchased new from us and used for 80,000 km in the following 2 years.

All steering wheel controls remain functional, even the paddle shifters (our M135i had the 8-speed ZF) and, if present, the heating of the crown.

The driving position, already excellent on recent BMWs, is further improved.
