A steering wheel adapter is a type of steering wheel spacer that has been modified to fit an original steering wheel but from a different model from the same car manufacturer, and which normally could not be fitted because it has a different attachment.
In this version we offer the adapter to mount the BMW 1 Series, 2, 3, 4 steering wheel on the large 5, 6 and 7 series models.
Those who have a non-M steering wheel on the 5, 6 and 7 series and want to upgrade to the M-Performance steering wheel, often struggle to find a used steering wheel because the one in the 5, 6 and 7 series is much rarer, and therefore expensive. While the 3-spoke M-Performance steering wheel of the 1, 2, 3, 4 series is much more widespread and cheaper.
The 2 steering wheels look the same when mounted on the machine, but inside they are different.
How are they different? Only in the center hole. The steering wheels of the smaller BMW series, up to the 4 Series, have a central hole with a small ribbed and a diameter of 18 mm. While the steering wheels of the largest BMW series, from 5 to 8, have a central hole with a large 20 mm ribbed.
Therefore we have used our experience in the processing of ribbed to build an adapter that allows you to mount the 3-spoke steering wheels of the 1, 2, 3, 4 series on the 5, 6, 7 series.
All you have to do is buy, for example on ebay or second-hand marketplaces, any M performance 3-spoke steering wheel from the 1 F20, 2 F22, 3 F30, 4 F80 series (and derivatives) and with our adapter you can mount it on your 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 series, without the need to make annoying and expensive modifications to your car.
