The steering wheel spacer is a kit that improves the driving position of passenger cars.
Our steering wheel spacer for Mini F55 and F56 brings the steering wheel closer together to improve the driving position, and is the evolution of the traditional collapsible hub for aftermarket steering wheels.

Until now, to approach the steering wheel in a vehicle that does not have depth adjustment, one could only remove the standard steering wheel and replace it with an aftermarket one.
The collapsible steering wheel hub was needed to install a goblet steering wheel.
Until the 1980s and early 1990s, this was a good solution, but since steering wheels haveairbags and steering wheel controls, having to give up these accessories to bring the steering wheel closer had become an unacceptable compromise. Eventually what happens is that one changes the car to one with an adjustable steering wheel.
With the Spacershop steering wheel spacer, this is no longer necessary-you can bring the car’s stock steering wheel closer and thus keep the airbag and steering wheel controls active.

Included in the kit are the wiring harnesses to lengthen the wires inside the steering wheel.
The assembly of the spacer is simple and reversible, in case you want to disassemble from the car everything goes back to the way it was before.
The instructions describe the installation procedure for MINI and BMW steering wheels, because they belong to the same group and the procedure is the same.
Even the spacer, physically, is the same product.
