Adapter for 595 Competizione steering wheel on Grande Punto Abarth
The experience gained in the manufacture of spacers and the processing of Fiat ribbed stripes has allowed this idea to become a reality: to mount the steering wheel with carbon mouldings like that of the Abarth 595 on the Fiat Grande Punto.
The steering wheel controls continue to work because the buttons on the 2 steering wheels are the same. There is no need to upgrade the electronics or make any special connections.
The steering wheels that can be installed must be purchased separately, all steering wheels for Fiat 500 and Abarth are fine.
The experience gained in the manufacture of spacers and the processing of Fiat ribbed stripes has allowed this idea to become a reality: to mount the steering wheel of the Alfa Romeo 4C on the Abarth 500.
This change results in the loss of steering wheel controls. To restore them, simply re-install the 500 steering wheel.
Installable steering wheels must be purchased separately, all steering wheels from the 4C will do.

Aluminium steering wheel shift kit for 500 Abarth with MTA automatic transmission.
Let's face it: not everyone likes the MTA gearbox. Partly because car enthusiasts usually don't like automatic transmissions, partly because the MTA gearbox is considered slow and inadequate for the nature of the car.
In our opinion, this is not the case. We like the MTA gearbox, it allows you to appreciate the car even more and is very comfortable in the city.
Maybe something can be improved: the shifting feel and the aesthetic aspect. The plastic paddles already present on the original steering wheel are like simple buttons, so we designed this kit to give the shifting a more "mechanical" feel , as if each shift was a shotgun shot.
The aluminium-to-aluminium contact generates the mechanical feeling of shifting, combined with magnets that work as return springs. The magnets can even be changed to give greater resistance to pressure and give a harder or softer feeling of the shifting, according to your taste.
Inside the load-bearing structure of the gearbox is hidden the electronic part that guarantees its operation. The levers operate 2 microswitches, connected to a wiring harness that replicates the original electronics. Everything converges to an original Fiat connector , so as to ensure an immediate connection with the cable that comes out of the machine, without the need to carry out electronic operations.
The kit is compatible with all commercially available goblet steering wheel hubs and goblet steering wheels . It is installed in an intermediate position between the hub and the steering wheel.
This product is the same steering wheel gearbox that we supply to race, rally or track car teams. The kit is designed and manufactured in Italy.
The gearbox is fitted to all versions of the 500 Abarth with MTA gearbox, from 2007 to the present. So 595, 695, Competition, Touring, Track, 595c...
Pair of brackets to lower the Sabelt seat to the left side on 595 Abarth.
This kit lowers the seat by 2 centimeters and an additional centimeter at the rear to better enclose the driver in the seat. In addition, it brings the seat 1.5 cm closer to the centre of the car, then to the gear lever and allows you to adjust the backrest of the Sabelts without stopping and opening the door.
On the original 595, the Sabelt seats are judged by many to be too high, and it is impossible to adjust the height because there is no height adjustment.
We have had a 595 Abarth for 2 years and we have noticed that it is also impossible to adjust the backrest except by opening the door because the space between the wheel and thedoor itself is too small to put your hand in.
So we developed this variant of the kit to lower the Sabelts, which only we do and which solves all the problems six original seats. The brackets are interchangeable with the original frame, reuse all the original screws and supports and can be removed to return to originality.
To develop them, we have used our engineering skills to create a robust, functional and reliable product; the experience of driving the Time Attack to achieve the perfect driving position, and we have also taken on board the suggestions of many 595 Abarth owners.
The kit includes a third bracket to move the belt attachment, which would otherwise rub the plastic of the seat.
The brackets are made of steel , laser cut and bent on CNC press brake, powder coated.
Pair of brackets to lower the Sabelt seat RIGHT SIDE on 595 ABARTH.
This KIT lowers the seat by 2 centimeters. It's made for the right seat: if you're reading from England, this kit is good for the driver's side.
On the original 595, the Sabelt seats are judged by many to be too high and there is no height adjustment to lower them. Then you need to work on the frame that supports the seat.
We have developed these brackets, made of steel, laser cut and bent on a CNC press brake, painted by cataphoresis, to be mounted in place of the original frame that supports the seat.
They are interchangeable and reuse all the original screws and mounts and can be removed to return to originality.
Pair of brackets to lower the Sabelt seat LEFT SIDE on 595 ABARTH.
This kit lowers the seat by 2 centimeters.
On the original 595, the Sabelt seats are judged by many to be too high and there is no height adjustment. To lower them, you need to work on the frame that supports the seat.
Our brackets are interchangeable with the original frame, reuse all the original screws and supports andcan be removed to return to originality.
They are made of steel , laser cut and bent on a CNC press brake, painted by cataphoresis.
They reproduce all the shapes and holes of the original frame, even the seat in which the cable is hooked to release the backrest.
To install them, it is recommended to completely remove the seat from the machine and work on a large table.
The steering wheel spacer is a kit that improves the riding position, and is an evolution of the old collapsible hubs.
It has a noticeable impact on driving, and has a yield-to-expense ratio equal to that of a ECU remapping.
Spacer on the steering wheel developed on our 124 Abarth that we use every day (even in winter...), allows you to enjoy 100% the potential offered by this great car.
A must-do edit, especially if you're tall. But even shorter drivers appreciate the Better ergonomics offered by holding the steering wheel close together, because this allows you to re-adjust the entire driving position Extending the legs They no longer touch the steering column or dashboard when cornering and manoeuvring, and allow for more relaxed driving on long journeys, without suffering from knee or neck pain.
The spacer is supplied with the wiring harness equipped with OEM connectors that interface perfectly (complete with snap closure) with the connectors on the steering wheel and on the column, to make all the buttons on the steering wheel (radio, telephone and cruise control) work without the need for electronic modifications.
The assembly is simple and reversible, in case you want to disassemble from the car everything goes back to the way it was before.
It solves the age-old problem of the 500, the lack of depth adjustment of the steering wheel.
Fiat 500s are excellent cars and very popular all over the world, not only in Italy, and are used by everyone: men and women, young and old.
The only adjustment offered as standard is height, but for many, it's better to be able to move the steering wheel closer and the seat back for more legroom.
The driving changes completely: the 500 can be terrible to drive if you are six feet tall and up, and with the spacer it becomes a kart that you would never stop driving.
We know this well because we have had an Abarth 595 for 2 years and we have fitted the spacer since day one.
Many people ask us to go and install it directly in Fiat before even picking up the new car.
It was during an installation at Fiat that we bought our 595: during one of those installations at the dealership we saw the 595 Competizione Verde Adrenalina that was just right for us...
The steering wheel spacer can be installed on all 500s, from the 900 Twinair, to the 695 Biposto, to the Hybrid, with manual and automatic transmission. A product for everyone.
Steering wheel spacer for Fiat 500 and Abarth, painted in the same body colour with colour code to be supplied, here in Italy, by hand.
Please indicate the colour code or colour name (e.g. "field grey") when ordering.
The colour code is written on a sticker on the tailgateor.
The colouring is carried out on a spacer taken from the warehouse and sent to the painting, it takes a few days because an original Fiat colour is used on purpose.
For those who want to bring the steering wheel closer but keep the original interior.
A gentleman from Romagna, owner of 3 Fiat 600s, begged us to make a version of our spacer for his car.
As enthusiasts, we couldn't help but please him.
