The experience gained in the manufacture of spacers and the machining of Porsche ribs has allowed this idea to become a reality: to mount a steering wheel with a classic but innovative design like that of the Cayman GT4 on a 996 and even a 993.
Members of our family have a 991 and a Macan, which allowed us to grip the new steering wheel with 3 hollow spokes and a round and small airbag.
We immediately wanted it on our 996.
The adapter allows the mounting of any steering wheel from 997 onwards, on all 993, 996 and 986.
Installable steering wheels must be purchased separately, all 997, 987, 991, 981, Macan, Panamera steering wheels will fit.
This adapter is used to mount the M-performance steering wheel of the BMW 1, 2, 3 and 4 F20 F30 F80 series on the BMW 5, 6 and 7 series, which have a different steering column attachment and for which it is rarer, more difficult and expensive to find a used M-performance steering wheel.
The BMWs on which our adapter mounts are the 5 Series F07 F10 and F11, 6 Series F06 F12 and F13, 7 Series F01 F02 F04
It also improves the driving position because it also acts as a spacer, and after assembly all the adjustments already present remain unchanged and working , even the depth one, as well as all the steering wheel controls and the paddles of the automatic gearbox if present.

Aluminium steering wheel shift kit for Porsche 996 with Tiptronic automatic transmission.
Let's face it: not everyone likes the Tiptronic gearbox. Because the car enthusiast usually doesn't like the automatic transmission, and the Tiptronic gearbox is considered slow and inadequate for the nature of the car.
But it can be improved: the shifting feel and the aesthetic aspect. The plastic buttons already present on the original steering wheel are just simple buttons, so we designed this kit to give the shifting a more "mechanical" feel .
The aluminium-to-aluminium contact generates the mechanical feeling of shifting, combined with magnets that work as return springs. The magnets can even be changed to give greater resistance to pressure and give a harder or softer feeling of the shifting, according to your taste.
Inside the load-bearing structure of the gearbox is hidden the electronic part that guarantees its operation. The levers operate 2 microswitches, connected to a wiring harness that replicates the original electronics.
The kit is compatible with all commercially available goblet steering wheel hubs and goblet steering wheels . It is installed in an intermediate position between the hub and the steering wheel.
This product is the same steering wheel gearbox that we supply to race, rally or track car teams. The kit is designed and manufactured in Italy.
The gearbox is fitted to all versions of the Porsche 996 and 986 with Tiptronic transmission.

This version was designed to be installed on old Alfa Romeos from the 70s that share the 105 platform.
The Alfas indicated as 105, on which our spacer can be mounted, are all Alfa Romeos made on the Giulia platform from 1963 to 1977. Then the Giulia Sprint, GT, Veloce, Junior and GTA.
It was developed following the request of a German customer (in Germany these cars love them), who wanted to bring the steering wheel closer and at the same time keep his original vintage steering wheel of the car. He didn't want to resort to the old solution of fitting a steering wheel other than the OEM one.
